Intake Process
Join in and Have Fun!
Who Can Join
Sunrise accepts anyone who has graduated Grade Eight into our Recreation Program.

Our Day Services are available to anyone who has finished High School or is seeking to slowly transition from High School. We often have waitlists for our Day Program and Community Program so we encourage guardians to complete the intake process early and join our waitlists.

All potential members should be able to be supported in a 1:4 ratio safely. If they require more support they can bring a support worker or family member.
How to Join
All interested participants are asked to come in for a scheduled interview and tour of our main site.

This interview will include some questions about the potential members' interests and support needs. Potential members and their guardians can see the space, meet some of our current members and ask questions to ensure we are the right fit for them.

Once the intake interview is complete the next step would be completing our membership forms.

All members pay an annual membership fee that helps to cover overhead and building costs. As a registered non-profit, all membership and program fees go directly into our programs and support services.

If interested in our Day Program or Community Program you may be asked to add your name to our waitlists due to high demand.

Our Recreation Program allows members to pick and choose what events interest them and sign up and cancel using our online booking system.

If you would like to start the intake process or if you have further questions please contact us!
Did You Know?
Funding for developmental services is primarily given to the individual and not the service providers.

Our non-profit receives minimal permanent funding to cover one of our Day Program staff. All other sources of funding include donations, fundraising and member fees.

As an agency, our goal is always to provide inclusive and creative programs and services while remaining as affordable as we can.
