Intake Process
Join in and Have Fun!

Who Can Join?
Sunrise accepts anyone 14 or older in our Recreation Program.

Our Day Services are available to anyone who has finished High School or who is seeking to transition from High School. We often have waitlists for our Day Program and Community Program, so we encourage guardians to complete the intake process early and join our waitlist.

All potential members should be able to be supported in 1 :4 ratio safety. If they require more support they can bring a support worker or family member.

How To Join?
All interested participants are asked to come in for a scheduled interview and tour of our main site.

This interview will include questions to better understand the potential member's interests and support needs. Potential members and their guardians will have an opportunity to see the space, meet some of our current members and ask questions to ensure we are the right fit for them.

Once the intake interview is complete, the next step would be completing the membership forms.

All members pay an annual membership fee that helps overhead and building costs. As a registered charity, all membership and program fees go directly into our services.

If interested in our Day Program or Community Program you may be asked to add your name to a waitlist due to high demand.

Our Recreation Program allows members to pick and choose what events interest them. Using our online booking site, members can easily sign up and cancel events.

If you would like to start the intake process or if you have further questions please contact us today!

Did You Know?
Funding for developmental services is primarily given to the individual and not the service provider.

Our charity receives minimal permanent funding that only covers one of our Day Program Staff. All other sources of funding include donations, fundraising and membership or program fees.

As an agency, our goal is always to provide inclusive and creative programs and services while remaining as affordable as we can.
